3g antennas

Q: I need a powerful antenna as my signal is very weak, how can I tell which of your antennas is most powerful?

Q: What is the difference between 'directional' and 'omni-directional' antennas?

Q: I ordered my antenna yesterday and it hasnt arrived, is there a problem?

Q: There is a high 3G signal but I wanted to know if I could increase my download speed with an antenna and coupler?

Q: I recently changed my service provider and now my signal sometimes drops down to GPRS. Which antenna should I purchase?

Q: I work as a project manager on many different construction sites. I need a portable antenna that I can put outside my portacabin so I can get my emails.

Q: I live in a remote area and get a low signal inside my house. When I am outside my mobile phone can get 1 bar of 3G. How can I ensure I get 3G on my dongle inside the house?

Q: I have a home office, how can I ensure that my connection is as reliable as it would be if I had a fixed line broadband?

3g antennas

Q: I need a powerful antenna as my signal is very weak, how can I tell which of your antennas is most powerful?

A: Antenna 'power' is called Gain. Antennas with higher gain will produce the biggest improvements in signal strength. The antennas with the highest gain tend to be 'directional'.

Q: What is the difference between 'directional' and 'omni-directional' antennas?

A: Directional antennas need to be pointed towards the nearest cell site, if you dont know where that its it will take a bit of pointing to find the best position for your antenna. Fortunately in the UK and Europe there are a lot of 3G sites so you shouldnt have to adjust too much! Omni directional antennas pickup signals from every direction and so require less precise mounting and ajustment.

Q: I ordered my antenna yesterday and it hasnt arrived, is there a problem?

A: No there is no problem. Wherever possible we aim to offer next day delivery but this is not always possible. We ask that our customers wait at least 3 working days after placing their order before contacting us.

There is a high 3G signal but I wanted to know if I could increase my download speed with an antenna and coupler?

A: In high signal areas the benefits of the Modem Mate will not be as obvious. The device is intended for low signal areas.

Q: I recently changed my service provider and now my signal sometimes drops down to GPRS. Which antenna should I purchase?

A: The TCLIP range is perfect for you. The 2dBi omni-directional gain is enough to ensure a constant 3G signal.

Q: I work as a project manager on many different construction sites. I need a portable antenna that I can put outside my portacabin so I can get my emails.

A: The WEB-MD-2110 range is ideal for cabins with signal outside but not inside. The waterproof magnetic base can be positioned on a metallic surface, such as a roof, and the antenna will radiate in an omnidirectional pattern for optimum coverage. The WM11-DEP3G mounted on the wall or pole will also be suitable.

Q: I live on a farm and get a low signal inside my house. When I am outside my mobile phone can get 1 bar of 3G. How can I ensure I get 3G on my dongle inside the house?

A: The WM11-DEP3G antenna mounted outside the house directed towards the nearest base station should work. But we recommend only using 5 meters of cable because any longer will rapidly decrease the efficiency of the antenna.

Q: I have a home office, how can I ensure that my connection is as reliable as it would be if I had a fixed line broadband?

A: The WM11-DEP3G or WEB-W21-CP-9 will give you the reliability you need by creating a directional link between your modem and the base station.
